With over a decade of development and the announcement of their next-generation aircraft, they are positioned to lead scalable production in 2025 and beyond. Position Summary:An exceptional opportunity for an experienced and driven Lead Composite Design Engineer to play a vital role in the development of advanced composite structures for eVTOL aircraft. In this role, you’ll lead the design and innovation of lightweight, high-integrity composite components to ensure optimal performance, manufacturability, and compliance with aerospace standards. You will work cross-functionally with top-tier teams and contribute directly to the success of revolutionary aircraft systems. Key Responsibilities:Lead the design and development of composite structures and components with a focus on weight, strength, and operator experienceCreate accurate CAD models and engineering drawings for composite, plastic, and metal partsCollaborate with stress, manufacturing, and aerodynamic teams to optimize performance and manufacturabilityConduct feasibility studies, material trade-offs, and process evaluations for advanced composite technologiesInnovate with emerging materials, design tools, and advanced manufacturing processesPerform structural validation and work with stress engineers to meet safety and certification requirementsMentor junior engineers and promote a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement Experience/Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or a related Engineering discipline8+ years of experience in composite design within aerospace, aviation, or automotive industriesProficient in CATIA 3DEX and composite modeling toolsIn-depth understanding of composite materials, laminate theory, and structural analysisStrong knowledge of manufacturing methods and aerospace design best practicesDemonstrated ability to collaborate across engineering functions and clearly communicate complex ideas Does this sound like you?
