Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Specialist to support a major industrial turnaround project. This is a field-based, boots-on-the-ground role, serving as the Construction Manager’s eyes and ears on-site.

This position is ideal for candidates with strong hands-on mechanical construction backgrounds who can monitor execution, identify risks early, and ensure work aligns with schedule and scope in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide real-time field oversight of industrial mechanical construction activities
• Monitor work progress, sequencing, and adherence to schedule
• Identify and communicate risks, delays, and execution gaps proactively
• Act as a liaison between construction management and field teams
• Review drawings, scope documents, and work packages
• Ensure work is executed safely and in line with project requirements
• Coordinate with multiple stakeholders and craft disciplines on-site

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial construction experience (10+ years preferred)
• Strong background in mechanical construction (piping, equipment, etc.)
• Prior hands-on field experience in roles such as:
• Pipefitter
• Welder
• Millwright
• Superintendent
• Mechanical / Maintenance Technician
• Experience in industrial turnarounds, shutdowns, or outages
• Broad understanding of multi-discipline construction activities
• Ability to identify issues proactively and work independently in the field
• Strong communication and coordination skills

Technical Skills

• Basic proficiency with:
• Microsoft Outlook
• MS Office (Word, Excel)
• Reviewing PDFs and construction drawings

Certifications & Requirements

• TWIC Card – Required (must be active at time of hire)
• OSHA Certification (can be supported during onboarding if needed)
• Valid driver’s license

Work Environment

• Industrial plant / construction site environment
• High-paced turnaround schedule with extended hours as needed
• Requires full-time presence in the field

PPE Requirements

Provided by Client:

• Respirator
• Hard hat
• Safety gloves

Candidate Must Provide:

• Steel-toe boots
• Fire Retardant Clothing (FRC)

Additional Information

This role is a temporary assignment supporting a surge in workload during a major facility turnaround. Candidates must be comfortable working in a dynamic, high-intensity field environment.
