Lead Data Engineer - Snowflake Job Location This is an onsite role based in Miami, FL. About the job you're considering Capgemini is looking for a Senior Data Engineer with Snowflake and DBT experience. The ideal candidate should be able to design, build, and maintain reliable data pipelines, models, and platforms to support analytics, reporting, and data-driven applications. Your role Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and optimize complex data pipelines and data warehouse solutions using Snowflake, dbt, Python, and Matillion (or similar ELT/ETL tools). Architecting new patterns within Snowflake, defining standards and reference architecture within Snowflake. Cloud Migration: Transition legacy systems to cloud-based data solutions. Data Governance & Quality: Ensure high standards in data governance, security, and validation. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with senior management to align data engineering efforts with business needs. Team Leadership: Lead or coach team members (particularly for Manager roles). Skills and experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Management, or Industrial Engineering. Minimum 5+ years developing and implementing data warehouses or cloud data solutions. 2+ years managing a team in a data engineering capacity. Must have 2+ years Snowflake architectural experience. Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and scripting languages (PowerShell). Experience with Snowflake, dbt, Matillion, or similar ELT/ETL tools. Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA. Compensation Range The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $119,700 - $159,500. Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law. The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction. These may include, but are not limited to: Geographic location, Education and qualifications, Certifications and licenses, Relevant experience and skills, Seniority and performance, Market and business consideration, Internal pay equity. It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
