This role is a hybrid position focused on technical leadership and people management. Primary Responsibilities Lead the technical execution of engineering initiatives, guiding design decisions, conducting code reviews, and ensuring adherence to engineering standards and best practices. Lead and mentor engineering teams, set clear expectations and performance standards, foster accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement, and support career development and succession planning. Oversee delivery planning and execution, remove blockers, balance hands-on development with technical oversight, and ensure timely, high-quality software delivery. Drive operational reliability and engineering maturity by monitoring system health with defined SLOs/SLIs, performing root-cause analysis, and implementing DevOps/SRE practices. Partner with product and business stakeholders, contribute technical insights during backlog preparation, and ensure solutions are technically feasible and aligned with roadmaps. Solve complex technical challenges, guide architectural decisions, contribute hands-on engineering work, and maintain high standards for coding and system design. Promote a strong engineering culture, model accountability and collaboration, and support agile and product-driven development practices. Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, and Skills Strong technical expertise in designing and delivering complex software solutions with high quality, maintainability, and performance. Ability to guide engineers through technical challenges, provide constructive feedback, and foster professional growth. Ability to coordinate development work, manage technical risks, address technical debt, and ensure predictable delivery. Knowledge of system reliability engineering, monitoring, observability, and incident management practices. Ability to translate business and product requirements into technical solutions and communicate trade-offs to stakeholders. Education and Experience 7+ years of experience in data engineering and analytics, including at least 2 years in leadership or coaching. Expertise in SQL, Python, Spark and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP). Deep knowledge of data architecture, modeling, governance, and integration best practices. 1+ year of people management responsibilities. Experience delivering enterprise-scale data solutions and mentoring technical teams. Experience influencing technical standards and modernization initiatives. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field (or equivalent coding education).
