We're looking for a Lead Database Engineer to play a pivotal role in designing, optimizing, and scaling enterprise database solutions that support complex, datadriven business operations. In this role, you'll serve as both a technical leader and handson engineer, partnering closely with application teams, architects, and business stakeholders to ensure data is secure, reliable, and available when it matters most. You'll influence database strategy, guide best practices, and mentor engineers-while still diving deep into performance tuning, automation, and problemsolving. This is a hybrid position which will require the candidate to report and work from the office at least three days a week. Therefore, interested candidates should be within a 50-minute radius from Temple, TX. What you'll do Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise-scale database solutions Drive database architecture decisions with a focus on performance, scalability, security, and reliability Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, data integrity issues, and availability risks Partner with engineering, infrastructure, and business teams to support mission-critical applications Establish and enforce database standards, best practices, and operational excellence Mentor and guide team members, providing technical leadership and thought partnership This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
