Divcon is seeking a Lead BAS/BMS/EMS/DDC Systems Design Engineer to join our team in Farmers Branch, TX. This is an excellent opportunity for a design engineer with proven leadership experience to play a key role in mentoring a team and delivering high-performance building automation solutions, particularly in the data center industry.The ideal candidate is a technically skilled leader with deep knowledge of HVAC and/or EPMS systems, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. They must be capable of balancing hands-on design work with team mentorship and project oversight.Key Responsibilities:Lead and mentor a team of Design Engineers and CAD Technicians; support career development and provide technical guidance.Oversee and contribute to the design and implementation of control systems during all project phases – Pre-construction, Installation, and Closeout.Review and approve submittal drawings, parts selections, and sequence of operations documentation.Develop and review Network Architecture, flow diagrams, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and I/O summaries.Coordinate RFIs and serve as a liaison between internal teams, vendors, contractors, and clients.Ensure quality and accuracy of all design documentation and deliverables.Assist in establishing and updating design standards, templates, and processes to ensure consistency and efficiency.Collaborate with project managers and field teams to support successful project execution and delivery.Qualifications:5+ years of BAS design experience required, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership or team lead role.Proficiency in AutoCAD and understanding of control systems integration.Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems and mission-critical environments.Familiarity with design and construction project workflows and tools (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid).Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate technical teams.High degree of integrity, organizational skills, and attention to detail.Preferred:Experience working in the data center industry.Strong understanding of BAS network design and sequence development.Capability to implement and improve design standards and drawing packages.
