Summary
This custom manufacturer is currently looking for a Lead Engineer with experience in AutoCAD and/or CabinetVision to help support the wood fabrication and casework side of our growing business in supervisory capacity. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated the ability to work and oversee the department in a dynamic manufacturing environment and to prioritize and complete multiple projects with the team. Previous experience with leading in woodworking shops and programming CNC equipment is a must.
Responsibilities
Create and update technical drawings for the wood-parts manufacturing in AutoCAD or other computer aided design software
Ensuring that engineering and production staff to produce parts that meet customer specifications and project timelines
Managing / Supervising a team of 5-10 drafter / engineers in a custom wood manufacturing arena
Assist in troubleshooting issues that may arise during the fabrication or assembly process
Create and update machine programs to be used to cut wood parts
Create and update machine programs to be used to cut wood parts
Coordinate with other teams to ensure the model is correct
Create models out of rough sketches
Requirements
CNC programming is a HUGE Plus!
Knowledge of necessary industry regulations
Very detail oriented & solid mathematical skills
Degree in drafting / engineering or 5-10 years relevant experience

Abilities in redlines, process improvement, and department oversite
Ability to solve problems, stay organized, and juggle multiple projects at once
