Lead Etl Data Engineer Apply
Northwest Partners is partnering with a premier client in the financial industry to hire an experienced full-time Lead ETL Data Engineer to join their team. This position follows a hybrid work model, requiring the selected candidate to be in the office 8 days per month at the St. Petersburg, FL Corporate Office location.
What YOU will do:
- Develop scalable, reliable Data Integration solutions that are flexible, scalable, and elastic.
- Build low latency Data Integration solutions to provision data near real-time for multiple consumers.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Architects, and Service developers to create optimal and efficient ETL and database code.
- Design and launch efficient, reliable data infrastructure to scale and compute to meet business objectives.
- Act as an Application Support specialist for critical production applications, optimizing batch flows to meet defined SLAs.
- Contribute to the successful completion of projects as defined by predetermined success criteria, including those established by the business, capital expenditure, and budget requirements.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
What YOU will bring us:
- Proficiency with ETL Tools; ODI experience is a plus.
- Strong experience with Database Platforms; Oracle, AWS Redshift experience is a plus.
- Expertise in SQL tuning, ETL solution tuning, and physical optimization of databases.
- Familiarity with SRE concepts, including the use of monitoring and observability tools like Splunk, DataDog, CloudWatch, and others.
- Experience or understanding of AWS services and languages like Terraform, DMS, S3, Spark, Python, Glue, and EMR is highly desirable.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with business partners to understand and implement their requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build consensus across teams.
- Strong critical thinking and innovative problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivation with the ability to perform under pressure.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant development or engineering experience, or a combination of education, training, and experience.
- Knowledge of the Financial Services Industry is a plus.
