Location & Compensation This is an Office role requiring onsite attendance in our Minnetonka, MN office, on average, three days per week. The full salary grade for this position is $88,800 – $152,300. The typical hiring salary range is $88,800 – $133,245, dependent on education, experience, certifications, responsibilities, pay equity, and market data. Responsibilities Medica’s Financial Analyst IV analyzes financial data for our Individual Family Business (IFB) and Commercial segment finance teams. The role maintains and updates financial models and reporting analysis to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes. The analyst works to improve financial status by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and recommending actions to management. Responsibilities also include preparing recurring and ad hoc financial reports, summaries, and presentation materials for leadership reviews and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to develop financial analysis and support decision‑making. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or equivalent combination of education and work experience 5+ years of related experience within data analysis, financial reporting, financial analysis, and/or forecasting beyond the degree Expert or advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills Skills and Abilities Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams such as Actuarial and Claims Operations Experience with budget and forecasting cycles within a complex organization Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint experience Analytical, decision‑making, and organizational skills Demonstrated problem‑solving skills for this role Ability to present data in a consumable format Result‑driven, detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment Preferred Qualifications 7+ years of related experience Knowledge of the health insurance industry, operations, and key expense drivers Knowledge and experience with GAAP and statutory accounting Experience presenting and preparing materials for leadership in a clear and concise manner Adaptability and fast learning ability; solution‑oriented project management skills TM1 and/or SQL experience desired Eligibility to work in the US Medica does not offer work visa sponsorship for this role.
