Job Description :
We are seeking an experienced Lead Java Developer to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture, along with expertise in Kafka, event-driven architecture, and MongoDB. The candidate should also possess excellent skills in architectural design and design patterns. Familiarity with AI assistant coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, and Claude is highly desirable to enhance development productivity and code quality.
Additional Information
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Dallas, TX is $120k - $130k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable Java-based microservices.
Architect and implement event-driven systems using Kafka and other messaging platforms.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system architecture and best practices.
Ensure high-performance and responsiveness of applications.
Utilize MongoDB for data persistence and manage database schemas.
Apply advanced design patterns and architectural principles to create maintainable and robust systems.
Integrate AI assistant coding tools into the development workflow to improve efficiency.
Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews to uphold coding standards.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and incorporate them into the development process.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Java Developer who has worked on the enterprise level applications.
Expertise in Java and Spring Boot framework.
Strong experience with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
Extensive knowledge of Kafka and event-driven architecture.
Hands-on experience with MongoDB.
Solid understanding of architectural design principles and design patterns.
Familiarity with AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, etc.
Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
Prior experience in AI/ML projects is a plus.
