About The Role The Lead Program Manager will support the Program Management Office (PMO) for the Kraken Transformation Program, by driving integrated planning, governance, and execution oversight. This role coordinates across business and technology teams, vendors, and leadership to keep scope, schedule, risks, dependencies, and readiness activities on track and clearly communicated. What You’ll Do Develop and implement a standardized project management framework to ensure consistency across all workstreams within the Kraken Transformation Program. Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and key deliverables. Coordinate day‑to‑day execution across teams to ensure alignment on priorities and timelines. Facilitate program meetings and governance routines; capture decisions, actions, and follow‑ups. Track progress against scope, schedule, budget, and resource plans; recommend adjustments as needed. Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies; drive mitigation and escalation when required. Prepare clear status updates and reporting for stakeholders and leadership. Support requirements gathering and solution/design coordination across business and technical teams. Ensure program documentation is complete, current, and aligned to established standards and processes. Promote continuous improvement by applying lessons learned and improving delivery practices. Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess program performance and implement corrective actions as needed. Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance program delivery processes and implementing best practices. Demonstrate a proven track record of delivering value, meeting customer expectations, delivering to targets, and managing all aspects of program implementation. Employ creative problem‑solving skills including assessment of program strengths and identify areas for improvement. Implement and manage changes and interventions to ensure program goals are achieved. What You’ll Need 5+ years of experience in project management. Expertise in CIS transformations, including customer migration from legacy platforms to next‑gen CIS (Kraken, SAP, Oracle, etc.) preferred. Strong planning, governance, and execution management across multiple teams. Proven experience managing risks, issues, and dependencies. Excellent communication and facilitation skills; able to create executive‑ready materials. Proficiency with delivery tools (e.g., Jira/Confluence, MS Project, Smartsheet, Excel/PowerPoint, SharePoint). Compensation Salary ranges by location: • NY: $142,000‑$167,000 annually • MA: $133,000‑$156,000 annually • UNY: $119,000‑$139,000 annually National Grid utilizes an assessment that evaluates the job qualifications/characteristics using AI or statistically based scoring.
