Lead Python Developer in the Cleveland, OH, or Pittsburgh, PA, location

Lead Python Developer Location: Cleveland, OH OR Pittsburgh, PA; Remote: No; fully in office. Time Zone: EST only; Days: Monday‑Friday; Hours: 8 am; Duration: Contract to hire; Travel: Requires travel to PA twice a month if not local to PA. Industry: Banking/financial preferred. Roles and Responsibilities Interact with business to understand requirements and adapt to evolving needs. Understand business, tech stack and guide the team toward an integrated solution approach. Dedicated and committed approach with good communication skills and participation in agile ceremonies. Experience with Object‑Oriented Programming. Familiarity with cross‑platform development and handling database storage on data‑lake platforms. Extensive Unix/FTP/file handling. Strong hands‑on experience with SQL databases. Must‑Have Technical Skills Deep understanding of multi‑process architecture and threading limitations of Python. PySpark Data engineering skills, experience with Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib. Experience with file‑based systems such as CSV and Parquet. Knowledge of data pipelines. Hands‑on experience designing, implementing and testing APIs. Hands‑on experience building microservices with FastAPI or related technologies. Experience writing unit tests and ensuring code coverage. Experience with Agile methodology, JIRA, Confluence. Experience with Git version control. Nice to Have Experience with Big Data and PySpark libraries. Soft Skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Team player. Education / Certifications Bachelor’s degree required. Python or Spark certifications are a plus. Interview Process Two rounds of panel interviews in person.
