What's the role in a nutshell?

We are looking for an energetic, self-motivated and passionate individual to join our US Qualitative Project Management Team as a Regional Qualitative PM Lead, based in our New York office.

 This role is a desk-based role which will be a critical link between the Qualitative US PM team/Global PM team and Qualitative practitioners at MMR.

 The US Regional Qualitative PM Lead will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of project delivery for US Qual Projects. It is primarily an internally facing role focused on efficient project management and supplier liaison.

 You will be part of the wider Global Qual Team and will have exposure to powerful methodologies on a wide range of research challenges. No two projects or briefs are ever the same, so the role comes with a wide range of variety to get your teeth stuck into! This role will give you the opportunity to work as part of an experienced, dynamic global project management team.

 

We are on a growth trajectory and we want someone who can contribute to and support this

 

What about the detail?

People management:

* Line manage the US Qualitative PM team ensuring that the team is working as one (ie. everyone working to the same process/procedure)

* Interview potential new hires/onboarding new hires, upskilling and mentoring new and existing hires as needed

* Creating and maintaining a feeling of team spirit with the US PM team

 

Overseeing Projects:

* Allocating RFQ’s to Snr PM’s, costing more complex and multi-market RFQ’s (2+ markets)

* Picking up over-flow RFQ’s , allocating of commissioned projects to Snr PM’s

* Project managing more complex/multi-market projects (2+ markets) E2E

* Being the point of escalation when issues arise on projects

 

Financial:

* Signing off simple project costs, ensuring that the MMR finance portals are kept up to date

* Ensuring that invoicing is up to date

* Commissioning of projects

* Conduct project ‘post mortems’

Supplier Liaison:

* Bring new suppliers on board as needed and negotiating rates / KPIs

* Maintaining a list of freelancers in region

Requirements

  • Strong organisational & time management skills (essential)
  • Strong communication skills & the ability to work effectively with teams (essential)
  • Creative approach to problem solving (essential)
  • Calm under pressure and able to priroitize effectively (essential)
  • Proven track record of people management (essential)
  • Solid Microsoft Office skills – including Word and Excel (essential)
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a Senior Market Research project management role (essential)
