Compensation $120,000 - $160,000 / year Department Engineering Location Aurora, IL Description We’re a fast‑growing Midwest engineering environmental firm looking for a motivated Structural Engineer to join our team. We want a proactive communicator who can take charge and lead our growing structural engineering team. What’s in it for you? Working on cutting‑edge projects such as bridge inspection and design. Your expertise in bridges, retaining walls, and Department of Transportation design standards will be crucial. Where you’ll work You can work remotely or relocate; work‑life balance is a priority. What you’ll do Provide bridge inspection and design services. Actively lead, develop, and grow the structural engineering team. Be familiar with structural components. Work cross functionally with the Transportation team on projects. What it takes Ideally a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and 7–11 years of experience designing steel and concrete structures. Must be a licensed structural engineer in Iowa, Illinois, or Wisconsin, or the ability to secure these licenses. Know construction methods, materials, and code requirements. Know how to develop design and construction plans. Use structural engineering software. Speak and write well. Have strong analytical and organizational skills. Be a team player.
