The mission of our childcare center is to provide a safe, loving, and encouraging environment that not only meets children's developmental and academic needs. We would love to have a lead teacher who shares our values to join our team to help teach our Brilliant Minds. Responsibilities Supervise assistant teachers and volunteers Develop lesson plans based on our curriculum and assess the developmental growth of the children Communicate with parents on the progress of their children Set up the classroom to reflect the lessons being taught Plan and carry out curriculum Help children develop positive self-images and experience success; encourage exploration of interests and developmental social skills Develop schedules and routines ensuring physical activity, rest, and playtime Teach children how to play fairly with others Observe, assess, and document each assigned child’s health, skills, behavior, growth, and development; identify any concerns Meet with parents to discuss concerns; optimize children’s developmental, intellectual, and social achievements in class activities Provide leadership and guidance to other staff and colleagues Create and lead a supportive, nurturing learning environment that encourages responsibility and motivation Additional Duties The teacher must be vigilant about the health and safety of the children and report health hazards to the appropriate staff member Report any suspected cases of child abuse to the appropriate authorities Qualifications Must have 2 years of experience working in a childcare setting, especially with Toddlers (18 months to 38 months) CDA in Infant/Toddler Associate Degree preferred but not required MAT, First aid and CPR Certificate Pay $18.00 - $19.00 per hour Schedule 8 hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday Work Location In person Benefits Employee discount Paid time off Professional development assistance Referral program Tuition reimbursement #J-18808-Ljbffr
