The Warehouse Lead operates as a hands-on leader, serving and motivating warehouse employees, leading by example, and fostering a positive team-building atmosphere. They will perform daily warehouse duties as expected of a level III associate. In the absence of the Supervisor, the Warehouse Lead will perform all day-to-day functions of the Supervisor including security of the building.


WHAT YOU WILL DO:

·         Ensure a culture of safety by enforcing safety standards and adhering to operational procedures.

·         Lead by example to ensure that all procedures and best practices are consistently followed.

·         Perform daily warehouse duties as directed by the Supervisor.

·         Assist with direction of associates and management of daily workflow within the framework of daily assignment.

·         Support other team members by being an expert in appropriate systems- i.e. WMS, Oracle.

·         Assist in training of new associates as required.

·         Assist in leading continuous improvement initiatives.

·         Assist in implementing lean objectives and 5S activities.

·         Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the assigned area in the absence of the PDC Supervisor.

Requirements

·         HS Diploma or GED

·         3+ years of warehouse experience, distribution environment preferred.

·         Previous experience in a leadership role preferred.

·         Proficient in Microsoft Suite, TMS, and Oracle experience a plus.

·         Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.

·         Strong people skills including communication, conflict management, empathy, active listening, negotiation, positive attitude, ability to mediate disputes, being tolerant of differences, and teamwork.

·         Material handling equipment experience, including forklift, reach truck, and cherry picker required.

·         Strong planning and organizational skills.

·         Good problem solving and reasoning skills.
