Learning & Development Lab Director The mission of the Learning & Development (L&D) Lab Director is to coordinate the research and distribution of information related to learning and growth trends in the AEC industry. This information, which may include trends such as AI, hiring practices, and project management (PM) practices, will be shared through content channels (podcasts, articles, videos) and client services (mastermind groups, learning sessions, forums). Outcomes Oversee EMI’s AEC PM Certification process and the PM Assist™ service, which reinforces PM tactics for project managers who have completed EMI’s learning and development programs. Source topics and speakers for quarterly live PM Assist webinars. Facilitate each quarterly webinar. Deliver one featured PM Assist webinar per year on a broader topic such as AI in project management. Create a membership‑based revenue stream with a minimum annual revenue of $150,000. Run a mastermind group and/or forum with a recurring fee. Produce membership content on industry trends (AI, hiring trends, PM practices). Host periodic interviews or fireside chats with industry professionals. Host or create a podcast. Host one of EMI’s existing AEC podcasts (The AEC Engineering & Technology Podcast or The Engineering Project Management Podcast) or launch a new one. Host at least two episodes per month. Provide the content team with topics and guests for coordination. Oversee the annual Future of Work (FOW) Trends Report. Manage the FOW production project from EMI’s side. Attend bi‑weekly meetings during the report preparation period (December through April). Review vendor documentation and provide feedback. Present findings via webinars, speaking engagements, and content channels. Collaborate with marketing to track downloads and traction. Qualifications A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (engineering, architecture, land surveying, or a related field is a plus but not required). Minimum of five years of relevant experience in the AEC industry (project management experience is a plus). Excellent communication and speaking skills. Benefits Work Location: Remote with 3 to 5 trips per year to headquarters in Midland Park, NJ, plus conference travel as needed. Full‑Time Hours: 35 hours per week with flexible scheduling.
