The Learning Designer / eLearning Developer will work with subject matter experts and the Senior Learning Designer in crafting training experiences aligned with broader company objectives and desired results. The successful candidate will have a growing knowledge of instructional design and development processes with a strong graphic design background.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Craft objectives and select training modalities based on desired learning outcomes
- Effectively communicate with Subject Matter Experts to pinpoint essential outcomes
- Craft storyboards for online learning projects
- Create learning materials for online and in-person training programs
- Develop appropriate assessments to ascertain learner competence
- Design training assets and job aid documentation according to project needs
- Assist in implementing the Curriculum lifecycle via LMS and content management best practices
- Create event materials for in-person training sessions and events
- Design certificates of completion for training programs
- Assist with management and maintenance of LMS Portal
- Serve as the producer for Blue Bird Academy webinars
- Proctor exams for certification candidates
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES FOR SUCCESS
- Previous Instructional Design, Graphic Design, or eLearning Project demos required
- Growing understanding of Adult Learning Theory
- Strong team player with willingness to lead or follow as appropriate
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Technical skills
- LMS Administration
- Microsoft Office Suite – Word / PPTX / Excel
- Webinar Tools
- Adobe Creative Suite – Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere, InDesign
- eLearning Development Tools (Articulate 360, Camtasia)
- Technical Writing, preferred
- Videography, preferred
- Front End Web Development – HTML, CSS, JavaScript, preferred
BASIC EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, Communication, Educational Technology
- 2+ years of Instructional Design Experience, (automotive field preferred)
- 4+ years of Instructional Design Experience, if no degree
- All candidates must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
