Position Overview

The Training Coordination Specialist supports the delivery, communication, and administration of Ford's Technical Training programs. This role ensures accurate maintenance of training systems, coordination of training materials and resources, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to maintain a best-in-class learning experience for Ford technicians and global partners.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working in fast-paced environments requiring coordination across multiple systems, teams, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities Training Communication & Coordination
  • Author, coordinate, review, and publish the quarterly Technical Training Electronic Field Communication (EFC).

  • Maintain the Ford Accepted Service Training (FAST) program course list to ensure accurate technician training equivalency.

Systems Administration
  • Serve as the North American Standard Training and Resource System (STARS) Administrator. Responsibilities include:

    • Creating and maintaining training planners

    • Activating courses and setting training due dates

    • Triage STARS system issues and collaborate with the STARS IT Development Team

    • Coordinate with the Learning Management System (LMS) provider to resolve concerns or system needs

    • Review training courses and provide feedback to the Content Development Team

  • Triage Ford Technical Training "Report-A-Problem" concerns related to systems issues.

  • Support future LMS migration efforts and related tasks.

Training Operations
  • Assist with ordering training vehicles to support technical learning programs.

  • Assist with ordering tools and equipment for Ford training centers.

  • Provide support for global training delivery needs across the enterprise.

Continuous Improvement & Collaboration
  • Partner with teams across Ford to leverage shared resources, standardized processes, and technology improvements.

  • Research emerging technologies and modern learning methodologies to continually enhance the Ford training experience.

Skills Required
  • Strong training coordination and administrative skills

  • Experience supporting communication workflows and content distribution

  • Ability to manage multiple systems and balance multiple priorities

Skills Preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced SharePoint experience (content management, workflows, list management)

Experience Required

2 5 years of experience in a coordination-focused role, including:

  • Field communication management

  • Systems administration (training or LMS systems strongly preferred)

  • SharePoint expertise

Experience Preferred

(Not required, but beneficial)

  • Automotive technical knowledge (vehicle systems, service tools, diagnostics)

  • Experience supporting technical training programs

  • Familiarity with automotive service processes or dealership service environments
