Job Summary Lecturer position in Information Systems at the Department of Management & Information Systems (MGIS), Mike Cottrell College of Business (MCCB), University of North Georgia (UNG). Start date: August 2026. The successful candidate will teach introductory and upper-division information systems courses for business and information systems majors and minors, as well as some general education information technology courses. Demonstrated exemplary teaching, a strong publication record and research pipeline, and currency in the professional field are expected. Quality teaching and student engagement are priorities in MCCB. Responsibilities The faculty member will teach introductory and upper-division information systems courses for business and information systems majors and minors, as well as some general education information technology courses. Engage with the business community to further the goals of the Mike Cottrell College of Business (e.g., connecting students to potential employers). Participate as an active contributing member to the service activities of the college. Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications An earned master's degree in an area with a primary focus on management, with at least 18 graduate hours in management or equivalent, preferably from an AACSB-accredited institution, is required at the time of hire. Preference will be given to those with a record of excellent teaching and practice in information systems, information technology, and related areas. Preferred Qualifications Evidence of superior teaching abilities. Professional experience or certifications in specialized areas in information systems or information technology.
