We work proactively with industry partners and professional bodies leading to more employable and innovative graduates.**About the Role**The Lecturer will contribute to excellence in teaching and learning across the suite of Postgraduate Palliative & End of Life Care topics in the Palliative & End of Life Care Graduate Certificate, Diploma, Masters or specialist short course offerings. You will be responsible for making an independent contribution to teaching and the scholarship of teaching using innovations in teaching practices and technologies to deliver excellence in teaching. You will have the opportunity to develop teaching materials, deliver lectures/tutorials or other innovative teaching and learning strategies, coordinate topics and support assessment work. Another exciting aspect of this role is the opportunity to concurrently engage in practice in a clinical or community setting to support maintenance of contemporary practice, knowledge and skills. A snapshot of the responsibilities the successful candidate will also work across include:* Create, coordinate and conduct inspiring teaching informed by approaches that enhance the student experience, with a focus on Postgraduate Palliative Care topics of the College.* Contribute to the planning and evaluation of these topics, undertaking the role of Topic Coordinator as required.* Make an independent contribution to the review, renewal, development and design of curricula and courses that are attractive to existing and new cohorts of students and that nurture creativity and critical-thinking skills.* Provide support, academic counselling and professional advice to students concerning their studies, professional development and career opportunities.* Make effective use of innovations and technologies in teaching practice.**About You**You are passionate about educating the next generation of palliative & end of life care professionals, evident through your longstanding track record of clinical leadership, excellence in teaching at a tertiary level, coupled with your contribution to the development, delivery and evaluation of innovative teaching and learning strategies.Your natural ability to establish and maintain relationships with staff, students and industry, highlight your effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. You hold a PhD in the relevant field or equivalent clinical experience and professional standing in Palliative & End of Life Care and maintain a current membership or eligibility with a relevant professional association.
