Department Information The Department of Marketing and Logistics is one of the larger departments in the Mike Cottrell College of Business (MCCB) and includes a major in Marketing and concentrations in Digital Marketing, Professional Sales, and General Marketing. We are also in the process of establishing Logistics as a major field of study in the BBA degree program. The MCCB is an AACSB-accredited business school with over 4,000 students across five campuses. The College includes the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and the Truist Center for Ethical Leadership. In addition to the BBA, the College offers undergraduate degrees in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, and Management and two associate degrees. Graduate programs include the Cottrell MBA, Master of Accountancy, and three graduate certificates. The international group of teacher-scholars provides an exceptional learning community to prepare students for their professional roles and to engage with business and industry in the region to foster economic development. Job Summary The Department of Marketing and Logistics in the Mike Cottrell College of Business (MCCB) at the University of North Georgia (UNG) invites applicants for the position of Lecturer of Business Analytics beginning with the fall 2026 semester. The successful candidate is expected to teach undergraduate courses on multiple UNG campuses. There might be opportunities to teach at the graduate level. Please be advised that any offer of employment is contingent upon your eligibility to work in the United States. The university is aware of recent federal changes that may significantly increase the cost of filing H-1B visa petitions. As a public institution, the university’s ability to cover such costs is subject to budgetary constraints and state funding policies. Therefore, while we remain committed to supporting international faculty hires, we cannot guarantee payment of any newly imposed or increased visa-related fees. Responsibilities Use innovative teaching and learning techniques to provide industry-relevant undergraduate/graduate business analytics courses. Engage in business practices that inform teaching and maintain qualified teaching status. Engage with the business community to further the goals of the Mike Cottrell College of Business (e.g., connecting students to potential employers). Participate as an active contributing member to the service activities of the college. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of teaching and learning practices; knowledge of theoretical and applied concepts of business analytics. Knowledge of analytics and visualization software. Passion for working with students to develop their skills and expertise. Ability to demonstrate best practices of written and oral business communication. Ability to work as part of a collaborative team. Required Qualifications An earned master's degree in an area with a primary focus on analytics/quantitative techniques/statistics, with at least 18 graduate hours in analytics or related areas, preferably from an AACSB-accredited institution, is required at the time of hire. Recent substantive and significant experience in teaching and/or industry relevant to business analytics/ quantitative techniques/statistics and expertise in data analytics/visualization software such as R, Python, Tableau, PowerBI, etc. Preferred Qualifications Preference will be given to those applicants who have a record of excellent teaching and practice in the area of business analytics and commitment to business education.
