This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented legal professional with strong experience in estate planning documentation, client counseling, and numbers-heavy casework, particularly involving tax planning/preparation and Medicaid matters.The ideal candidate will bring a strong background supporting attorneys in elder law and estate planning matters, with the ability to manage documentation, communicate effectively with clients, and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare, review, and summarize estate planning and elder law documentsAssist with documentation related to asset protection, estate planning, estate administration, and related mattersSupport tax planning/preparation and Medicaid-related caseworkCommunicate directly with clients regarding case status, documentation needs, and next stepsMaintain, organize, and manage client files, records, spreadsheets, and supporting materialsAssist attorneys with drafting, reviewing, and finalizing legal documentsProvide general administrative and legal support to attorneys as neededQualifications4–7 years of experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant, preferably within elder law and estate planningHands-on experience with estate planning document preparationStrong client counseling / client-facing communication skillsExperience with tax planning/preparation and Medicaid-related mattersFamiliarity with NYSCEF e-filingHighly organized with strong attention to detailAbility to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookIdeal CandidateReliable, proactive, and highly organizedComfortable working closely with both attorneys and clientsStrong team player who takes ownership of their workAble to thrive in a busy, in-person legal environment
