Responsibilities:
Research and Compliance: Conduct thorough research on federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to marketing and advertising. Ensure all marketing materials comply with legal standards.
Document Review: Review and analyze marketing content, including advertisements, social media posts, and promotional materials, to ensure compliance with legal guidelines.
Policy Development: Assist in the development and implementation of internal policies and procedures related to marketing and advertising compliance.
Training and Support: Provide training and support to the marketing team on legal requirements and best practices for advertising.
Regulatory Updates: Monitor and stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting marketing and advertising. Communicate relevant updates to the legal and marketing teams.
Contract Management: Draft, review, and manage contracts related to marketing activities, including agreements with advertising agencies and influencers.
Litigation Support: Assist in the preparation of legal documents and evidence for any litigation or regulatory inquiries related to marketing practices.
Record Keeping: Maintain organized records of all compliance activities, including approvals, audits, and training sessions.
Qualifications:
Education: Associate s or Bachelor s degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on marketing regulations and advertising compliance preferred.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of legal marketing regulations, including FTC guidelines, and other relevant marketing laws.
Skills: Excellent research, analytical, and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Communication: Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to clearly explain complex legal concepts to non-legal team members.
Technology: Proficiency in legal research tools and software, as well as standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
