Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Legal Secretary to provide administrative and clerical support to our attorneys. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a professional demeanor. This position plays an essential role in keeping our office running smoothly and ensuring that client matters are handled efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and format legal documents, correspondence, and reports
  • Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate court appearances
  • File and organize legal documents both physically and electronically
  • Handle incoming calls and correspondence in a professional manner
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and client records
  • Assist with billing, time entry, and document management
  • Communicate with clients, court personnel, and other legal professionals
  • Perform general office duties such as copying, scanning, and mail distribution

Requirements

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional legal or administrative training preferred
  • Prior experience as a Legal Secretary or in a similar legal support role is strongly preferred
  • Excellent typing, grammar, and proofreading skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal practice management software
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Professional attitude and ability to work well in a team environment
