Responsibilities
- Prepare and format legal documents, correspondence, and reports
- Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate court appearances
- File and organize legal documents both physically and electronically
- Handle incoming calls and correspondence in a professional manner
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and client records
- Assist with billing, time entry, and document management
- Communicate with clients, court personnel, and other legal professionals
- Perform general office duties such as copying, scanning, and mail distribution
Requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional legal or administrative training preferred
- Prior experience as a Legal Secretary or in a similar legal support role is strongly preferred
- Excellent typing, grammar, and proofreading skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal practice management software
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Professional attitude and ability to work well in a team environment
