Blackstone Law APC is a results-driven employment law firm dedicated to protecting workers’ rights throughout California. We handle a wide range of employment matters, including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour violations, and class actions. We are seeking a highly motivated Legal Secretary/Paralegal with a strong background in employment litigation to join our team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and edit legal documents, including motions, complaints, discovery requests/responses, and demand letters, with a focus on employment law matters
  • Conduct legal and factual research to support case development
  • Assist attorneys in preparing for depositions, hearings, and mediations
  • Organize and maintain case files, exhibits, and evidence related to employment claims
  • Prepare case summaries, timelines, and document indexes
  • Work closely with clients to gather information, draft declarations, and support litigation strategy
  • E-file documents with state and federal courts, including documents for employment-related litigation
  • Maintain and manage litigation calendars—track deadlines for discovery, court filings, hearings, and appearances
  • Coordinate court appearances, depositions, mediations, and client meetings
  • Serve as point of contact for court staff, opposing counsel, clients, and vendors
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable court rules and procedures


Requirements:

  • 3–5+ years of experience in litigation support, with a strong preference for employment law experience
  • Solid understanding of California and federal court rules and employment law procedures
  • Excellent drafting skills, particularly in preparing legal motions and discovery in employment cases
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines
  • Proficient in legal practice management software (e.g., FileVine, Clio) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Hybrid in Beverly Hills
