All Machine Operators are responsible for machining components accurately, performing quality checks to verify product output, and keeping records of production quantities. Level II Operators also are accountable for completing necessary setup operations and basic troubleshooting.  Position may at times involve other related work in the department. 

1st shift: 6:00 AM -2:30 PM M-F

2nd shift: 2:15 PM -10:45 PM M-F

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 Based on experience

Job type: temp-to-hire

Job location: Racine, WI

1.     Set up and operate all equipment to produce quality components.

2.     Participate in shift change activities at the start and end of the shift.

3.     Inspect and measure parts using calipers, veneers, micrometers, and/or height gauges.

4.     Read and interpret blueprints and drawings.

5.     Care and maintenance of assigned machine(s) and tooling in the department.

6.     Organize and maintain paperwork. 

7.     Maintain cleanliness of work area and work in a safe manner adhering to all safety policies.

8.     Any other duties as assigned. 

Requirements

1.     Basic machining experience and mechanical aptitude; prior setup experience preferred.

2.     Understanding or ability to learn machine safety and PPE requirements.

3.     Attention to detail, including basic troubleshooting and QA capability.

4.     Strong shop math skills and capability to read/understand simple blueprints or drawings.

5.     Good communication skills: must be able read and write clearly and concisely in English and understand/follow directions in work instructions.

6.     Solid understanding of computer ERP system (Epicor).

7.     Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
