Location: Terrell, TX 75160

Pay Rate: $23.00 - $29.00 Hourly (DOE)

Shifts Available:

• 1st Shift: Monday- Friday; 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Job Overview:

As a Level 3 Welder, you will perform complex welding tasks with precision and efficiency, ensuring high-quality results while supporting and mentoring Level 1 and 2 welders. A focus on safety, accuracy, and a “First-Time-Through Quality” mindset is critical.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret complex drawings, weld symbology, and Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS).
• Expert in multi-pass FCAW and/or GMAW in all approved progressions.
• Prepare welds using grinders, bevelers, plasma, gougers, and oxygen-acetylene cutting.
• Apply pre-bow techniques and repair all weld defects.
• Troubleshoot equipment, wire, and gas-related weld issues.
• Perform maintenance on individual and robotic welding machines.
• Support design, creation, and testing of weld fixtures; assist with new WPS and weld testing.
• Train, mentor, and inspect Level 1 and 2 welders.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety and company guidelines.

Requirements:

• AWS certification (required)
• Minimum 5 years of welding experience, including FCAW and GMAW
• Experience with multi-pass welding and weld preparation techniques
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, drawings, and WPS
• Strong troubleshooting skills for welding equipment and processes
• Knowledge of safety standards and proper welding practices
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment
• Leadership or mentoring experience is preferred

Eyesight Requirement:

Must be able to read a Jager Level 3 eye chart from 16 inches, with or without prescriptive lenses.
