Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and licensed Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing civil engineering design tasks, providing guidance to team members, and ensuring the successful completion of projects. This role requires strong technical expertise in grading, drainage design, hydrology, and hydraulic evaluations, as well as proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform complex grading and drainage designs, including the development of driveways, building pads, and erosion and sediment control plans.
  • Conduct detailed hydrology calculations and hydraulic evaluations for proposed drainage features, ensuring compliance for permit submissions.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and Civil 3D software to prepare precise civil design drawings.
  • Engage with prospective clients to discuss potential new projects, and prepare professional service agreements for civil engineering-related services.
  • Collaborate with project design team members, including clients, architects, contractors, and designers, to ensure seamless coordination of civil design efforts.
  • Perform on-site evaluations, construction observation, inspections, and project site reviews related to civil engineering projects.
  • Address calls and inquiries from clients, consultants, and contractors, providing expert guidance and solutions.
  • Conduct site visits prior to and after grading design completion to assess existing field conditions and confirm compliance with approved plans, ultimately providing a Final Letter.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in CA.
  • experience in civil engineering design and project management.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D; strong understanding of hydrology and hydraulic design principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and project stakeholders.
    Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with project management software.

Familiarity with local and state engineering regulations and permitting processes.

Previous experience in managing civil engineering projects from conception through completion.
