The Licensed Clinician (Child Well Being Specialist) plays a crucial role in promoting the well-being and mental health of children at DHS sites. They provide individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and support services to children who have experienced trauma or are facing challenging circumstances.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of children's mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.

• Provide trauma-informed counseling to children and their families, utilizing evidence-based therapies and interventions.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement interventions that address the unique needs of each child.

• Assist in coordinating and facilitating psychoeducational groups and workshops for children and families.

• Monitor and track clients' progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.

• Maintain accurate and timely records of all clinical services provided.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field

• Licensed Social Worker (LCSW or LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Doctor level prepared psychologist (LP) or equivalent within the state(s)

• Minimum 2 years of experience providing mental health services to children

• Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and evidence-based therapeutic approaches for children

• Strong assessment and diagnostic skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work effectively within a team and collaborate with other professionals

• Knowledge of child welfare systems and regulations

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency preferred

• Authorized to work in the United States and able to travel as required

• Successful completion of background check and drug test
