JOB DESCRIPTION:

Full-time Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) needed 

Our group of brave, compassionate, and enthusiastic specialists is committed to changing the lives of individuals, kids, families, and senior citizens who are affected by mental health and drug abuse issues. Our team offers comprehensive community-based behavioral therapies and high-quality whole-person care with an emphasis on race, equality, diversity, and inclusion to assist individuals in realizing their aspirations and goals related to their quality of life.

Full-time positions available.

Responsibilities:

  • May participate in a group therapy program
  • Cooperates with staff and other community agencies in carrying out treatment plans
  • Participates in psychotherapy and case management programs with psychiatric staff treatment teams
  • Interprets and explains social and emotional factors pertaining to illness to clients, relatives, and community groups, and may conduct educational sessions and training events, as appropriate
  • Evaluates new techniques for dealing with emotional and environmental problems
  • Refers patients or clients to appropriate community agencies
  • Performs other related duties, as required
  • Performs intensive counseling, psychotherapy, case management and treatment services with patients or clients and their families.
  • Participates in the evaluation of problems presented and in the development of treatment plans

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Must maintain relevant in the state license as Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and three (3) years post licensure experience
  • Must possess knowledge of counseling techniques, crisis intervention, and could make independent judgment related to counseling as a direct service is essential.
  • Experience and skills in group facilitation and planning processes.
