Employment Type: PRN
Pay Rate: $20 - $24 per hour; (Negotiable based on experience)
Shift: Night Shift: 7:00 PM 7:30 AM

Summary:

The Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) provides direct care and support to patients/residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse during the night shift. This role assists with activities of daily living (ADLs), monitors patient condition, ensures safety and comfort, and communicates changes in condition to appropriate nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and support to patients/residents (e.g., bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding, mobility assistance).
  • Monitor vital signs, intake/output, and other basic clinical data as per facility policy.
  • Assist in repositioning, transferring and ambulation of patients/residents to reduce risk of injury or complications (e.g., pressure ulcers).
  • Respond to patient/resident call lights and requests in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for all patients/residents on the unit.
  • Ensure integrity of patient/resident rights, dignity and confidentiality at all times.
  • Observe and report changes in patient/resident condition, behavior or needs to the supervising nurse or appropriate staff.
  • Assist with admissions, transfers and discharges as needed during shift.
  • Restock supplies, tidy patient/resident rooms and equipment, support unit housekeeping as needed.
  • Participate in hand off communications with incoming shift staff and complete required documentation accurate and timely.
  • Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, regulatory requirements and facility policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Valid LNA license in the state of New Hampshire.
  • BLS/CPR certification.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and shifts as needed.
