Responsibilities As a Licensed Practical Nurse at Montana State Prison, you will play a vital role in the medical management of over 1,600 inmates within a 24-hour infirmary unit. This position encompasses a wide scope of nursing responsibilities, including initial health assessments, triage, sick call services, medication administration, mental health support, urgent and emergent care, chronic disease management, infection control, quality improvement, and discharge/transition planning. Work with Mental Health department with scheduling, medication orders, and notes in TechCar. Charting of Mental Health changes in inmates. May help facilitate activities with inmates as needed. Qualifications The knowledge, skills and abilities for this position are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to: Associate’s degree in nursing Licensed to practice as an LPN in the State of Montana Alternative combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis Only online applications are accepted.
