Working hours will be assigned by your manager.**Compensation Range:**$22.97 - $34.46 per hour, depending on experience**This position is not eligible for benefits.**-----# **Job Responsibilities:*** Perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, collecting specimens, and assisting with procedures, always within the LPN scope of practice and under supervision when required* Administer medications safely and accurately, utilizing knowledge of pharmacology and following UHS policies and current clinical standards* Educate patients and their families on health promotion, disease prevention, and management strategies, as directed by a provider or registered nurse* Support and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards including Joint Commission, NYS Department of Health, and infection control protocols* Perform CLIA-waived laboratory testing, including quality control procedures, documentation, and participation in tri-annual AAFP proficiency testing* Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record system to support patient safety and care coordination* Participate in department-specific credentialing and lab validations as required by practice standards and regulations* Collaborate with providers, RNs, and the broader care team to coordinate patient care and promote positive health outcomes* Assist with front office functions such as scheduling, patient intake, and communication of clinical instructions when appropriate* Actively engage in Performance Improvement (PI) initiatives by reviewing data, offering feedback, and implementing changes to enhance care quality* Maintain clinical competency by participating in ongoing training, in-services, and educational opportunities* Uphold a culture of patient-centered care by contributing to a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for all individuals# **Position Qualifications:*** **Minimum Required:** + Graduated an accredited school of Practical Nursing + Current New York State Practical Nurse License, a Limited Permit, or ability to practice within the 90 day grace period allowed by New York State guidelines* **Preferred:** + Basic Skills Certifications (CPR)-----# **About United Health Services**United Health Services (UHS) is a locally owned, not-for-profit healthcare system in New York’s Southern Tier comprising four hospitals, long-term care and home care services, and physician practices in Broome and surrounding counties.
