(DOE)Job Description:Job Summary:Assists in the professional management of the facility's medical department.Apply appropriate nursing skills in the care and treatment of inmates/residents.Attend sick calls with the physician to see inmates/residents; prepare a list of inmates/residents to be examined.Prepare the examination room and equipment. Operate pill call, dispense medication, and document as required by applicable policies and/or procedures.Control medication, syringes, and other medical supplies or equipment and inventory as required by established procedures.Perform emergency procedures as needed. Keep equipment and work area clean; utilize appropriate sanitation methods.Document and report activities following established policies and/or procedures, including medical file documentation.Job Requirements:LPN License in the state of Practice or Compact License.Basic Life Support (BLS); AHA is highly preferred.One year of LPN experience is required.Long-Term Care experience is highly preferred.
