This is more than just a nursing jobit's an opportunity to build relationships and positively impact young lives every day.Responsibilities:Accurately administer and document medications in accordance with provider ordersTranscribe medication orders and maintain up-to-date Medication Administration Records (MARs)Conduct controlled substance counts and oversee proper narcotic destructionEducate and support youth, families, and staff on medication use and wellnessAssess medication side effects and monitor treatment effectivenessCollaborate with providers and fellow nurses to ensure comprehensive careProvide direct nursing care for residents with illness or injuryAssist in training staff on safe medication administrationOversee medication delivery, storage, and administration in cottages as neededQualifications:NYS Licensed Practical Nurse licenseAt least one year of clinical experience (pediatrics preferred) or acute / sub-acute care.CPR and First Aid certifiedMust be reliable and organized, with good time management skillsPassion for working with youth and a team-oriented attitudeBilingual (English/Spanish) is helpfulPay Rate: $30 -$35 per hour - differential offered for Spanish language skills and overnight shiftsSchedule: Monday - Friday - various shifts available: 7AM -3PM OR 3PM -11PM OR 11PM - 7AM
