Licensed Vocational Nurse - LVN La Casa Health Care Location: City of Bellflower Shift Care (Private Residence): Monday through Sunday Morning Shift available Mid‑Day Shift available Night Shift available Availability: Full‑Time & Part‑Time available Hours: Flexible Pay: $29.00 – $31.00 per hour + $500 bonus Job Summary A qualified Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse administers one‑on‑one skilled nursing care to patients on an hourly (shift care) basis in their place of residence. This is performed in accordance with physician orders and plan of care under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse. Services are furnished in accordance with Agency policies. Qualifications Graduate of a state‑approved school of practical (vocational) nursing and currently licensed in the state of California. Year of experience in nursing is a plus; new graduates welcome. Current CPR certification. Acceptance of philosophy and goals of this Agency. Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment. Responsibilities Understand and adhere to established policies and procedures. Implement the nursing care plan for each patient. Provide nursing services, treatments, and diagnostic and preventive procedures as assigned. Initiate preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures as appropriate.Observe signs and symptoms and report to the physician and RN reactions to treatments, including drugs and changes in the patient’s physical or emotional condition. Teach and counsel the patient and family/significant others regarding the nursing care needs and other related problems of the patient at home. Prepare clinical and progress notes.
