The Life Skills Coach - Driver's Ed at Cal Farley's Boys Ranch is responsible for providing driver education instruction to youth residents, helping them acquire essential driving knowledge and skills that promote safe and responsible driving habits. This role supports the development of life skills necessary for independence and personal growth.

The position involves planning and delivering Driver's Ed curriculum, conducting behind-the-wheel training sessions, monitoring student progress, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. The Life Skills Coach collaborates with youth care staff to integrate driving education into the broader life skills development programs.

Responsibilities include maintaining accurate records of instruction, ensuring vehicle safety during training sessions, and fostering a positive learning environment that encourages skill acquisition and confidence behind the wheel.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in driver education preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is mandatory.
• Experience in driver education instruction or coaching preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with youth and adapt teaching methods to individual needs.
• Strong interpersonal and mentoring skills.
• Availability to work part-time hours as scheduled.
• Commitment to promoting safe driving practices and responsible behavior.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Knowledge of Texas driving laws and regulations preferred.
