Aerotek is seeking reliable people with production experience to work in Spokane Valley, Washington

Description:

Working in a production shop operating a Roll-Forming machine or Polishing machine to create metal seals of various sizes.

• Rolling: Sitting at the machine, loading sheet metal and using a foot pump to run the machine and roll the metal into a circular seal, QI parts as they're manufactured. Roughly 10 seconds per part then repeat
• Polishing: Sitting down, taking seals after they've been rolled and polishing them with sandpaper. Could be by hand or by machine. Can be a bit strenuous on the hands/fingers.
• Must be able to read job orders and follow directions carefully, don't waste time over-sanding parts that only need quick polish, etc.
• Most seals are small (maybe the size of your hand) but they also have a large seal area that is a bit more advanced and the seals can get up to 8ft in diameter
• Will be cross-trained in all positions. Must be teachable and okay with getting moved around between rolling and polishing

• Extremely repetitive, will be doing the same thing over and over again pretty much all day
• Not a good fit for people who want to move around and have a variety of different tasks and job duties
• Attention to detail and good vision is important in order to see defects and for QI purposes, being able to see fine details and catch problems before hundreds of seals are made incorrectly
• Ability to do basic math, counting, and ability to read the work orders and follow written instruction
• Most positions are sitting and will rarely lift more than 5-10lbs, very light duty work
