Job Details:

  • Contract Length: 12 months (opportunity for extension)

Summary:

  • Rework SMT components and perform modifications as per Engineering Change Orders.

  • Inspect assemblies to meet IPC-A-610 quality standards and identify common component and soldering defects.

  • Perform detailed work on component boards, including fine-pitch soldering on SMT components.

  • Utilize BOM, Engineering Change Orders, and work orders to ensure product accuracy and quality.

  • Remove and replace PTH and SMT components, including resistors, capacitors, diodes, ICs, switches, and connectors.

  • Follow standard work documentation and procedures to rework product units and ensure quality.

  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to ensure product verification and quality.

  • Regular attendance and ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced, quality-oriented environment.

Required Skills:

  • Experience with SMT fine-pitch components (lead width < 50 mil) and rework of PTH and SMT components.

  • Knowledge of IPC-A-610 quality standards and soldering defects.

  • Ability to read and work with BOMs, Engineering Change Orders, and work orders.

  • Proficient in using fine-pitch soldering techniques and identifying common component defects.

  • Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Access).

  • Strong attention to detail in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Desired Skills:

  • Self-motivated with initiative to work in a continuous improvement environment.

  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, for effective collaboration.

  • Experience working with flux and PCB cleaning techniques.
