Full-time/Hourly/Non-Exempt

This is a Third Shift Position:

Summary:

The Warehouse Supervisor oversees the warehouse including the activities of employees responsible for the picking, packing of orders and the processing of returns. Candidates must have open availability Monday through Friday between 7pm and 530am with the occasional Saturday required for overtime. Shifts average 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. This position reports to and takes direction from the Fulfillment Center Manager.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the work and process of Warehouse Associates.
  • Assist Warehouse Manager by writing work procedures; prepare work schedules, monitor Time & Attendance, and expedite workflow.
  • Conduct audits of work for quality, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
  • Assist associates with work process problems.
  • Enforce policy and procedures to improve the efficiency and accuracy of associates.
  • Conduct interviews, on board and train new associates while developing current associates
  • Complete daily reports and analyses to ensure departmental cohesion and alignment with company procedures.
  • Participate in quarterly performance reviews; coach and give feedback/discipline when needed.
  • Work closely with Warehouse Manager, Supervisors, and other internal partners to coordinate workflow and labor management and quickly resolve issues; promptly report any issues to Warehouse Manager.
  • Perform duties of Warehouse Manager as needed.
  • Opening and Closing of warehouse independently when necessary, ability to adapt working hours as business needs require.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position requires the employee to be on their feet and walking the majority of the shift. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee must be comfortable lifting and moving items above head level occasionally and should be comfortable on a small step ladder.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Education and Skills:

  • High School diploma or GED Equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of computer technology, Apple preferred
  • Familiarity with Google products (Drive, Gmail, Sheets and Docs) or working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent computer skills; ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory warehouse experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the company.
  • Excellent problem solving ability.
  • Capacity to work well with others and direct work in a professional
  • Manner while de-escalating conflict as needed.
  • Easily adaptable to change in a fast paced, deadline driven
  • Environment.
  • Ability to strategically plan output capacity and utilize resources effectively
