Role Description

This is a full-time or part-time on-site role for multiple Back of House positions, including Line Cook, Pizza Maker, Salad/Dessert Cook, and/or Dishwasher, located at our Port Jefferson, NY location. The Line Cook will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes according to recipes, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, and ensuring food safety standards are met. Additional responsibilities include setting up and stocking workstations, assisting with inventory management, and collaborating with kitchen staff to ensure a smooth service.


Qualifications

  • Experience in cooking and food preparation, specifically in Italian cuisine, is preferred but not required.
  • Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene regulations, and maintaining a clean kitchen environment.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, with excellent time management and multitasking skills.
  • Teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and create a positive work environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by restaurant operations.
  • Previous experience as a Line Cook or similar role is advantageous but not mandatory; we also welcome motivated newcomers passionate about culinary arts.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus, but not required
