Job Summary:
The Links at Union Vale is seeking a skilled Short Order Line Cook to join our kitchen team for pub-style dining. This position is ideal for a cook with 3+ years of short order or line cooking experience who can handle a busy grill, knock out tickets with accuracy, and keep a cool head in a fast-paced kitchen.
We're a golf course and event venue with a casual pub that serves golfers, members, and public diners throughout the season. If you’re comfortable flipping burgers, running fryers, and pushing out consistent plates under pressure—this could be a great fit.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of short order dishes during lunch and dinner service
- Manage grill, flat top, fryer, and sauté stations efficiently
- Maintain speed and quality during peak service periods
- Follow all recipes and portion controls accurately
- Keep a clean, organized station and adhere to all food safety standards
- Assist with prep work and restocking during down time
- Communicate clearly with FOH staff and kitchen team
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant short order or high-volume line cook experience
- Strong multitasking skills and ability to prioritize under pressure
- Dependable, punctual, and a team player
- Weekend and evening availability required
- ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification preferred
