Linux Administrator Location: Indianapolis, IN (Onsite) Contract Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Linux Administrator to manage, maintain, and support enterprise Linux infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Linux system administration, troubleshooting, automation, patch management, security, and production support. The candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment supporting mission-critical applications. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, administer, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CentOS, Rocky Linux, or Ubuntu servers. Perform system administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of Linux servers. Manage user accounts, groups, file systems, permissions, and access controls. Install and configure software packages, middleware, and enterprise applications. Perform OS upgrades, security patching, and vulnerability remediation. Configure and maintain networking services, including DNS, NFS, SSH, FTP, and TCP/IP. Monitor server health, CPU, memory, disk utilization, and system logs. Troubleshoot server, application, and network-related issues. Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Python, or Ansible. Support backup and disaster recovery processes. Work with VMware or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for Linux workloads. Configure storage, LVM, multipathing, and file system management. Implement security hardening in accordance with organizational standards. Participate in on-call production support and incident resolution. Collaborate with application, database, network, and security teams to resolve infrastructure issues. Maintain system documentation, SOPs, and operational procedures.
