This is an exciting opportunity to work on scalable, secure Linux-based platform infrastructures for complex product environments.Your Responsibilities:Design, implement, and maintain secure Linux-based platform infrastructures.Develop and advance operating system architecture for multiple product platforms.Create and maintain system concepts and manage interfaces across teams.Develop and integrate product features within the platform architecture.Build and maintain Linux OS images for cross-platform system environments.Evaluate and introduce new technologies to advance platform infrastructure.Coordinate closely with development teams and Systems Engineering on technical dependencies.Mandatory Requirements:Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field.Strong experience in Linux/Unix system development and customization.Proficiency with Yocto/Bitbake Embedded Linux build systems.Strong Python and Bash scripting skills.Business-fluent German; basic English.EU or NATO nationality and willingness to undergo NfD clearance briefing.Preferred Skills:Experience in C/C++ software development.Linux IT security knowledge: SELinux, AppArmor, system hardening.Familiarity with container technologies (Kubernetes, Podman).Vulnerability management experience (CVE analysis) and risk assessment.CI/CD pipeline experience, ideally in GitLab environments.Ideal Candidate Profile:Hands-on experience building and maintaining Linux-based OS images.Security-conscious engineer with knowledge of hardening and CVE management.Strong communicator able to align with multiple development teams.Experienced Embedded Linux / Platform Engineer with Yocto/Bitbake expertise.This position provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-impact embedded systems while working in a flexible, hybrid environment.
