About the Role:

A leading law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 0 6 years of litigation experience to join its growing Litigation Practice in Michigan. This is an outstanding opportunity for an attorney looking to build a sophisticated litigation practice while working alongside experienced litigators on a broad range of commercial, civil, and employment litigation matters.

The successful candidate will work on all phases of litigation, including case strategy, discovery, motion practice, depositions, hearings, and trial preparation. This position offers meaningful client interaction, hands-on responsibility, mentorship from experienced attorneys, and the opportunity to develop courtroom and advocacy skills within a collaborative and highly respected team.

This is a hybrid position, with attorneys expected to work in the office at least three days per week. Additional flexibility may be available as attorneys become established in the role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage commercial, civil, and employment litigation matters through all stages of the litigation process.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, responses, and legal correspondence.
  • Conduct legal research and provide strategic recommendations on complex litigation matters.
  • Participate in fact investigations, discovery, document review, and case analysis.
  • Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
  • Communicate regularly with clients regarding case strategy, developments, and litigation progress.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and litigation support professionals to deliver exceptional client service.
  • Manage multiple matters while maintaining strong attention to detail and meeting litigation deadlines.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives and the continued growth of the Litigation Practice.

Required Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • 0 6 years of experience in commercial litigation, civil litigation, employment litigation, or a related litigation practice.
  • Active membership in the Michigan State Bar is required.
  • Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Client-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering outstanding legal services.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced legal environment.
