About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join a growing multi-state defense litigation practice in Dallas, Texas. This is an outstanding opportunity for a seasoned attorney with 7+ years of defense litigation experience who is looking to manage sophisticated, high-exposure matters while working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will handle complex litigation across a broad range of practice areas, including construction law, healthcare liability, oil & gas, product liability, trucking and transportation, catastrophic injury, premises liability, and insurance coverage. This role offers substantial case ownership, direct client interaction, and meaningful courtroom experience with opportunities for continued professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage litigation matters from initial case assessment through final resolution.
• Develop litigation strategies and evaluate liability, damages, and overall case exposure.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation-related documents.
• Handle all phases of written discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests.
• Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
• Represent clients at hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and other court proceedings.
• Prepare cases for trial, including witness preparation, exhibit organization, and litigation strategy.
• Conduct legal research and provide strategic recommendations to clients.
• Maintain timely client communication while providing detailed reporting and analysis in accordance with client guidelines.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to deliver exceptional legal representation.

Required Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Texas and good standing with the Texas Bar.
• Minimum of 7 years of defense litigation experience.
• Insurance defense experience is strongly preferred.
• Extensive experience handling discovery, depositions, motion practice, and mediations.
• Strong ability to evaluate liability, damages, and litigation exposure.
• Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple active matters.
• Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented professional with sound judgment and a proactive, trial-focused approach.
