Job Description

The Firm is seeking a Litigation Attorney to join its boutique transportation and logistics practice. This opening is available in either the firm’s Jacksonville, FL or St. Petersburg, FL office. We are a small firm with a national footprint, handling complex and challenging matters that make a real business impact across the country. We are looking for an attorney who enjoys problem solving, desires a high degree of client interaction, and embraces the creative challenge of tackling legal issues presented by the fast-paced and dynamic transportation industry. 


Responsibilities

·  Lead and manage litigation cases from inception through resolution with minimal supervision.

·  Conduct comprehensive legal research utilizing LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies and ensure compliance with current laws and regulations.

·   Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and other pertinent documentation with precision and clarity.

·   Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients to achieve favorable outcomes while maintaining professional integrity.

·   Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, arbitrations, and administrative hearings with a focus on effective advocacy.

·   Collaborate with legal support staff to ensure thorough case preparation and adherence to deadlines.

·   Maintain detailed case files and documentation in accordance with firm policies and legal standards.

·   Stay updated on evolving laws and industry best practices through continuous research and professional development.


Qualifications

JD from ABA accredited law school and admission to State of Florida Bar. 

Prior work in complex commercial litigation, or employment law, and transportation is preferred.
