Job Description

A well-established and growing law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support a busy plaintiff-side practice. The firm focuses on complex personal injury matters, including medical malpractice and other sensitive, high-impact cases.

This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented, proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment and enjoys working closely with attorneys through all phases of a case.


Work Schedule

  • Hybrid schedule
  • 3 days onsite during initial training
  • 2 days onsite after training period


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, file, and manage lawsuits and litigation documents in state and federal courts
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery materials
  • Coordinate and manage case deadlines, calendars, and filings
  • Schedule and prepare attorneys for depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial
  • Assist with trial preparation and trial support
  • Communicate with clients, courts, and external parties as needed
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation
  • Proactively manage a high-volume caseload


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of civil litigation experience (plaintiff-side required)
  • Strong background in personal injury litigation (medical malpractice highly preferred)
  • Experience preparing and filing lawsuits from start to finish
  • Familiarity with state and federal e-filing systems
  • Proven ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills


Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Adobe
  • Experience with case management systems (Filevine or similar preferred)


Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting trial, mediation, or deposition preparation
  • Exposure to multi-state litigation
