In this role you will oversee engagements from planning through completion, supervise staff, interface directly with attorneys and clients, and support expert testimony through the preparation of defensible analyses, reports, and exhibits. This position is open to qualified candidates anywhere within our geographic footprint. The Litigation Support Manager is a key member of the firm’s Forensic & Valuation Services practice, responsible for managing and delivering financial analyses in connection with commercial litigation, marital dissolution, shareholder disputes, and other matters involving economic damage and business valuation. This role applies accounting, valuation, and economic principles to assist attorneys and clients in dispute resolution and litigation, while maintaining objectivity, methodological rigor, and adherence to applicable professional standards. Core Service Areas Supported Economic damages and lost profits analyses Business valuation for litigation and marital dissolution Income analysis for family law matters Shareholder and partnership disputes Fraud, financial misrepresentation, and tracing engagements Expert consulting and expert witness support Position Details Manage litigation support and valuation engagements throughout the engagement lifecycle, including scoping, data requests, analysis, reporting, and attorney support. Serve as day‑to‑day contact for attorneys, clients, and internal engagement teams. Identify issues, risks, and assumptions relevant to damages and valuation analyses and communicate them clearly to engagement leadership. Direct and perform analyses related to lost profits, lost earnings, diminution in value, unjust enrichment, and other economic damages. Apply accepted economic and accounting methodologies, including "but‑for" analyses and alternative damage theories where appropriate. Review financial statements, tax returns, general ledger data, and other accounting records to assess reliability and relevance to the matter. Prepare clear, well‑documented schedules and analyses suitable for use in reports, mediation, deposition, or trial. Manage valuation engagements for closely held businesses in litigation and marital dissolution contexts. Assist with normalization adjustments, reasonable compensation analyses, and income determination for family law matters. Assist in the preparation of expert reports, rebuttal reports, affidavits, and supporting exhibits. Ensure analyses and workpapers are complete, well‑organized, and capable of withstanding scrutiny in deposition or trial. Coordinate document support for expert testimony, including schedules, demonstratives, and financial summaries. Supervise, coach, and review the work of associates and senior associates on litigation support and valuation engagements. Provide technical guidance on damages methodologies, valuation concepts, and documentation standards. Other duties as assigned. Position Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in litigation support, forensic accounting, valuation, or dispute‑related advisory services. Strong understanding of economic damages concepts, business valuation principles, and financial analysis. Demonstrated experience managing engagements and supervising staff. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non‑financial audiences. CPA required; ABV, CFF, CVA, ASA, CFE, MAFF or similar credential strongly preferred. Experience with marital dissolution and family law engagements. Prior experience supporting expert testimony, depositions, or trial proceedings. Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; experience with valuation and litigation support software a plus.
